ORDER:
                     In the letter read above, the Commissioner, Andhra Pradesh Capital
Region Development Authority (APCRDA) has proposed to constitute an
expert committee with members who are having relevant experience in the
respective field for arriving at an effective solution for fail safe flood
management of Kondaveeti Vagu and its in-falling drains so as to ensure
Amaravati Capital City free from inundation even in maximum flood
conditions either from Kondaveeti Vagu or from River Krishna.

2. Government, after careful examination, hereby constitute an expert
committee to study the flood management of Kondaveeti Vagu and its infalling
drains so as to ensure Amaravati Capital City free from inundation
even in maximum flood conditions either from Kondaveeti Vagu or from
River Krishna, with the following:

1 Sri. M. Venkateswara Rao, Engineer-in-Chief, WRD, Hyderabad   Chairman
2 Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Department of Geophysics, Andhra University Member
3 V.C. Goel, Director, National Institute of Hydrology, Roorkie Member
4 Prof . Srinivas, IISC, Bangalore. Member
5 Mishra/Sumana, Wapcos, Delhi Member
6 B.S.N Reddy, Engineer-in-Chief (Rtd.),WRD  Member
7 M.K. Rehman, Engineer-in-Chief (Rtd.), WRD, Hyderabad Member
8 I.S.N. Raju, Chief Engineer (Retd.), WRD Member
9 K. Papa Rao, OSD to Minister WRD, Vijayawada. Member
10 Chief Engineer, Amaravati Development Company Member/Convenor


3. The terms of reference for the Expert Committee are:
    a. Study the proposals already prepared.
    b. Suggest solutions which are cost-effective and fail-safe.
    c. Advise on any connected matters arising.

4. The Chairman & Managing Director, Amaravati Development
Company (CCDMC), who is responsible for construction works of the capital
city, shall take further necessary action accordingly.
