The international crude oil price of Indian Basket as computed/published today by Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas was US$ 47.23 per barrel (bbl) on 26.05.2016. This was higher than the price of US$ 46.74 per bbl on previous publishing day of 25.05.2016.
Committee for Evolution of a National Education Policy submits report to Ministry of HRD
The Committee for the evolution of a National Education Policy has submitted the report containing its recommendations to the Ministry of HRD. The Union Minister for Human Resource Development thanked the Chairman and all members of the Committee for their commitment and efforts.
The Committee has examined the large body of outcome documents, recommendations and suggestions received from the various consultations. The Committee also had several meetings with various stakeholders and held regional consultations as well as undertaken field visits to educational institutions.
Finance Minister to Leave tomorrow for Japan on 6-Day Official Visit: To Meet Investors for Investment in India.
The Union Finance Minister Shri Arun Jaitley will leave tomorrow evening on 6-day official visit to Japan from 29th May to 4th June, 2016. On arrival in Tokyo on 29th May, 2016, he will have meetings with CEOs of Japanese Companies (Soft Bank/JBIC).
PM’s Address at the Plenary Session of the North-Eastern Council
I am very happy to be here for the North Eastern Council Plenary meeting. I also take this opportunity of welcoming you all to this meeting. I hope that the deliberations that have already taken place since yesterday and further deliberations that we have today, will help in faster development of this region.
I am also happy to note that the North Eastern Council has provided support in the development of the North East region. It has been instrumental in establishment of a number of institutions and taking up infrastructure projects in the region.
