As on 31.03.2016, the holding of coaches (excluding EMU, MEMU and DEMU) over Indian Railways is about 53000. This is being utilized over Indian Railways.

Pursuant to the receipt of Sachar Committee Report and under the Prime Minister’s New 15 Point Programme, with an objective to enhance opportunities for education, ensure an equitable share for minorities in economic activities and employment, enhanced credit support for self-employment, recruitment to State and Central Government jobs, skill development of minorities, measure for special development initiatives, protection and management of Waqf Properties, etc. the Government has already undertaken various schemes/initiatives for the welfare of six notified minorities, including Muslims, the details of which are listed.
FDI in Brownfield pharma sector has been permitted upto 74% under automatic route; and FDI beyond 74% and upto 100% is allowed under Government approval route. The move to permit 74% FDI under automatic route in Brownfield pharmaceutical sector is aimed at attracting required capital, international best practices and latest technologies in the sector. Further, 100% FDI under automatic route is permitted for Greenfield pharma sector.
Cabinet increases the limit for foreign investment in Stock Exchanges from 5% to 15%
The Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has given its approval for raising foreign shareholding limit from 5% to 15% in Indian Stock Exchanges for a stock exchange, a depository, a banking company, an insurance company, a commodity derivative exchange. The Cabinet has also approved the proposal to allow foreign portfolio investors to acquire shares through initial allotment, besides secondary market, in the stock exchanges.

Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and
Natural Gas was US$ 41.69 per barrel (bbl) on 26.07.2016. This was lower than
the price of US$ 42.43 per bbl on previous publishing day of 25.07.2016.
